Six members of the community team (ranging from Band 3 to 7) participated in the focus group.

​The feedback shared included:

• "We were all very impressed with it."

• "It was easy for families to read."

• "It helped with difficult questions."

Feedback also indicated the booklets would be a valuable training resource, and may also be beneficial for Children's Services.

All 22 nurses who responded agreed the booklet and quality of information were useful in their practice, with one nurse saying:

"I believe this booklet would be an invaluable resource for families caring for loved ones at the end-of-life. The information regarding the symptoms associated with the dying process is presented in an informative yet non-threatening manner. As someone currently involved in practice development, I have found this booklet to be an excellent tool for supporting training."
